Nearly 40 years ago, this handsome-looking couple said “I do.” About 4 years after that, they welcomed me into the world. Now as an adult, and having been married for 15 years, I realize what a huge accomplishment this milestone really is. I’ve seen them persevere through serious hardships like financial and business troubles that rock your world–to the scary health crises that had my mom literally knocking on Heaven’s door. Through it all, they’ve remained committed to their faith and to each other.
I know that I’m among a rare few, that get to see their parents remained married and in love for richer or poorer, sickness and health until death they part. For the example that they’ve set for me and my family, I am eternally grateful.
In honor of them, and for this special occasion, my brother and I joined forces to create a special memory book to honor them. We secretly contacted their friends and family from all over the country, and asked them to write a tribute to them in honor of this 40th year. I was touched by the outpouring of love they received and the number of lives that have been touched by their lives and marriage.
